Health & Safety

We at Carey Developments Ltd.,  place a strong emphasis on Health and Safety in the working environment.  It is a policy of the company to comply with the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005, the General Applications Regulations 2007 and the Construction Safety, Health & Welfare at work (Construction) Regulations 2006 and associated legislation where appropriate and to identify and adhere to new legislation and best practices.

We are certified and accredited to both OHSAS 18001:2007 and Safe T Cert standards.  Each accredited Organisation carries out annual audits to ensure the Company Safety Management System (CSMS) is implemented & enforced on sites.  We currently hold accreditation until 2014.

The Management and Supervisory staff take responsibility for implementing the CSMS throughout the Company and we ensure that Health, Safety and Welfare considerations are always given priority in planning the day to day supervision of work.

It is also Company Policy to regularly:

  •  Review our Safety Statement/Policies and Procedures
  •  Provide training to staff as and when required
  •  Carry out regular site audits
